Financial Services Disputes

The firm acts for many Irish banks and other regulated financial services institutions foreign banks doing business in Ireland. Typically we advise regarding complex recovery disputes, priorities’ disputes and in relation to challenges to bank security. We also investigate and prosecute claims for financial institutions against third party service providers where such providers have contributed to loan losses.

We also advise financial institutions and bondholders regarding capital structure issues.

Allied to our Investment Funds and Financial Services Regulation Practices, we represent funds, investment managers, custodians, trustees and other service providers in relation to disputes in the investment funds sector.

We also advise regarding actions taken by the Central Bank against financial institutions and their employees  

We also represent financial institutions in relation to litigation arising from both internal and external fraud, including the pursuit of fraudsters and the prosecution of third party claims in relation to negligence which may have facilitated fraud.

We also defend financial institutions in relation to all manner of customer complaints either before the courts or the Financial Services Ombudsman.
