Our Employment and Benefits Group has been at the forefront of this practice area for many years and has one of the largest and most dynamic employment law teams in Ireland. We advise on all aspects of workplace legal issues, both contentious and non-contentious in nature for a variety of clients, domestic and international in the public and private sectors.
On the non-contentious side, the Group assists clients with all aspects of the employment relationship from recruitment and selection to the drafting, review and auditing of employment contracts and HR policies and procedures to advising on employee incentive schemes, health and safety, industrial relations and general workplace issues. The Group frequently assists employers with all manner of rationalisation, re-organisation and redundancy exercises and also has experience in corporate immigration and equality related issues.
Our team provide a complete dispute avoidance service to its clients and regularly provides on and off-site training to clients in employment, equality and health and safety issues.
In corporate deals, the Group assists in employment, health and safety and pension related due diligence in share and asset sales and acquisitions and advises on issues arising as a result of the Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE) Regulations.
Our dedicated approach is reflected in our consistent retention to deal with contentious issues particularly in relation to precedent setting cases before the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Equality Tribunal and the High Court.
The Employment Law and Benefits Group also advise employers and trustees in relation to all aspects of pension law, including employers’ PRSA obligations. The Group regularly advise employers and trustees in relation to their duties and responsibilities under pension scheme documentation, pension’s legislation and trust law generally.
