Doing Business in Ireland
As a full service corporate department we regularly advise clients on the full range of matters that need to be considered when establishing a new business or investing in business in Ireland. Our services include:
- company formation and company secretarial services
- regulatory clearances
- raising finance or grant assistance
- company law and corporate governance
- joint venture and shareholder agreements
- restructurings and re-organisations
- tax issues
The MH+C Start-Up unit is focussed on providing cost efficient advice to early stage companies. In addition to assisting domestic clients establish or invest in business opportunities, we are focused on assisting multinational corporations looking to invest in Ireland as a business location.
Ireland is one of the most popular and profitable locations for corporations wishing to invest in Europe. The rate of corporation tax in Ireland is 12.5% for Irish trading profits. In the last decade over 20% of all US foreign direct investment in Europe has been made in Ireland. This is an impressive figure given that Ireland accounts for less than 5% of the total European population. It is also a reflection of the quality of the Irish workforce and the many important fiscal measures that are in place that combine to ensure that Ireland is a location that is good for business.
State agencies such as the IDA Ireland (Industrial Development Agency) and Enterprise Ireland along with organisations such as venture capital agencies are positioned to assist international corporations considering investing in Ireland and we can advise on the many areas of grant aid and equity investment.
Please find our MH+C Investing in Ireland Brochures which will provide you with practical guidance on investing in Ireland from different jurisdictions.
