Paula is Head of Mason Hayes & Curran's Company Secretarial Department. Paula has extensive and wide experience as a chartered secretary having previously worked in the company secretarial department of two leading accountancy firms and also held the position of deputy company secretary of a large quoted plc.

Paula and her team provide a comprehensive quality company secretarial and company law compliance service to clients and is responsible for the records maintenance and public filing of several hundred Irish companies. Paula is a qualified chartered secretary in Ireland and the United Kingdom. She is co-author of the third edition of Jordans Irish Company Secretarial Precedents (Jordans, 2009) and is a contributor to the Irish chapter of the International Expatriate Employment Handbook.

• Acted as company secretarial advisor to Berkshire Partners, LLC, Advent International Corporation and Bain Capital Partners, LLC in their recommended $1.1 billion offer by way of scheme of arrangement for Skillsoft plc
• Acted as company secretarial advisor to Mylan Inc., which ranks among the leading generic and specialty pharmaceutical companies in the world, in respect of its $550 million cash acquisition of Bioniche Pharma Holdings Ltd
• Acted as company secretarial adviser to Simpson Strong-Tie Ireland Limited in its acquisition of part of the business and assets of Liebig Group
• Acted as company secretarial advisor to Activision Blizzard on the integration of Activision Inc and Vivendi Games
• Act as company secretarial advisor to Airbus group of Irish companies in Ireland
• Act as company secretarial advisor to Nestle group of Irish companies in Ireland
• Act as company secretarial advisor to Facebook Ireland Limited and other Irish Facebook companies

Speaking Engagements and Teaching:

• Paula regularly gives presentations to company secretaries and board of     directors on company secretarial and corporate governance matters
• Paula has previously acted on a lecturing panel for the Director Development Programme run by the Centre of Corporate Governance at University College Dublin
