Claire is a partner in Mason Hayes & Curran’s Corporate Group and is also a member of the Charities and Not-for-Profit Group.  

Claire’s corporate practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance and corporate reorganisations.  Claire has, in recent years, established a reputation in the renewable sector and in particular in the sale and purchase of wind farm projects (both operational and in development). 

Claire also advises our many clients in the charities and not-for-profit and sport sectors on the appropriate legal structures for such bodies, on matters of corporate governance and generally on all aspects of the Charities Act 2009 and related issues.

Representative Matters

• Advised ABO Wind Ireland Limited on a number of wind farm related matters, including the acquisition and subsequent sale of Gortahile Windfarm Limited.
• Part of the team that advised Treasury Holdings on the sale of Eco Wind Power Limited (which owned all of Treasury's on shore wind farm interests) to Viridian Power and Energy Holdings Limited.
• Advised FL Partners on the acquisition of the Sunseeker group of companies and part of the team that advised FL Partners on the acquisitions of the Kaymed and ATA groups.
• On an on-going basis, Claire advises her not-for-profit and charities and sport clients on the modernisation of existing trust and other structures and on the restructuring of their organisations as incorporated entities to include the transfer of assets and employees to those incorporated entities.  Claire has also advised a number of not-for-profit organisations on mergers with other similar organisations.
