Wendy Hederman

Partner

Wendy is a Partner in Mason Hayes & Curran's Commercial Department.  Wendy practices in the areas of general commercial law, outsourcing contracts, regulated industries, and information technology, advising Irish and international, public and private clients, across a full range of commercial law matters and contracts.  Wendy also has expertise in EU law, sponsorship and advertising, consumer law, logistics and procurement contracts. 

Wendy rejoined Mason Hayes & Curran in 2011, after a decade of fulfilling in-house legal roles.  Several years as Group Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer for an international telecommunications company was followed by acting as retained counsel for commercial enterprises, and an extended consultancy position with the legal department of Diageo Ireland.

Wendy brings a sharp business focus to all legal issues for clients.  The insights gained from working in industry ensure that clients achieve effective, practical and legally robust outcomes.

Wendy completed her law degree at Trinity College Dublin, and has a Masters in European Law from Université Libre de Bruxelles.  She is a member of the Irish Centre for European Law, and is a co-author of Telecommunications Law in Ireland, and of the Irish chapter of Appointing Commercial Agents in Europe.  Wendy was elected to Dublin City Council in 2004, and served as a Councillor for several years with particular interest in planning and finance matters.
