Martin is a Partner in the Corporate Group and Head of Life Sciences. He previously worked for eight years with Elan Corporation, plc (NYSE:ELN), a global biotechnology company.

Martin has a broad corporate practice, including advising upon domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions, reorganisations and fundraisings.

Martin has an MBA from Cranfield University, School of Management and was a recipient of the J.P. O'Reilly Scholarship from the Law Society of Ireland.

Martin also has significant practice on intellectual property licensing and is a regular adviser to a number of State bodies and third level universities in this specialist area.

• Acting as lead partner for Liberty Mutual in the acquisition of the general insurance business of Quinn Insurance Limited (in administration) and in relation to joint venture with Anglo Irish Bank.
• Representing National University of Ireland, Cork (UCC) in the strategic alliance with the Irish Management Institute
• Represented Vascular Solutions Inc. on the acquisition of the hemostasis business of Zerusa Limited
• Represented Pauwels International N.V in its acquisition of Microsol Holdings Limited
• Represented White Young Green Plc in its acquisition of PH McCarthy
• Represented the shareholders of Perlico Communications Limited in the sale to Vodafone Group plc
• Represented Kerry Group plc in the acquisition of Breeo Foods Limited
• Represented Orangold Limited in the acquisition of Donegal Highland Radio
