Declan Moylan is the Chairman of Mason Hayes & Curran.  He advises and represents a large number of enterprises coming to do business in Ireland, particularly American and British entrants to the Irish market.  He also has an extensive practice in complex corporate transactions and investigations.  He maintains close links with the firm’s administrative and public law practices.

In 2010 and 2011 Declan Moylan represented a diverse range of overseas corporates establishing in Ireland, including financial services institutions, traditional manufacturers, and a world leading social networking business.

• Advised Simpson Manufacturing Company Inc. in corporate acquisition of assets in Kerry, Ireland.
• Advised Facebook on establishment of its European Headquarters in Ireland.
• Advised Liberty Mutual in Irish corporate and insurance regulatory matters.
• Conducted investigations and reported on governance issues pertaining to directors’ loans for board of Anglo Irish Bank.
• Conducted investigations and review for Board of Dublin Docklands Development Authority on the conduct of its statutory functions.
• Was personal solicitor to Attorney General of Ireland from 1999 to 2002.

• Taught Applied Business Law on International MBA Course in Trinity College Dublin 2002 – 2010.
• Gave Masterclass to Trinity College’s M. Sc. (Management) 2009 Public Sector Programme on “Impact of Legislative and Judicial Intervention on Ireland’s Public Administration”.

• Co-presented with U.S. Ambassador Daniel Rooney at Wexford Opera House in June 2011 on “The Arts and Business; Opportunities and Advantages”.
• Frequent speaker on topics relating to co-operative ventures between business and arts communities.
