Gemma Coady, Partner

Gemma is a partner in Mason Hayes+Curran Healthcare and was a Partner in Arthur O’Hagan prior to the merger in October, 2008. Her practice primarily involves the defence of medical malpractice claims. Over the years, Gemma has developed significant expertise in the handling of complex malpractice actions on behalf of hospitals and healthcare professionals.

In the course of conducting the defence of these actions, Gemma is known for her thorough and incisive approach and is regarded as a skilled and fair negotiator. In handling many high profile birth injury cases, she has shown her ability to investigate, analyse and evaluate the multiplicity of issues involved. Gemma also regularly acts as an advocate on behalf of her healthcare clients at inquests in the Coroner’s Court.     

As a healthcare expert, Gemma has developed a niche practice in advising healthcare institutions in relation to a wide range of both contentious and non contentious medico legal matters.
