Bringing Business Online with PayPal and Dublin Chamber of Commerce

Mason Hayes & Curran will host a breakfast briefing with Dublin Chamber of Commerce on the topic of "Bringing Business Online".

About this briefing

€2.96bn was spent online in Ireland during 2010 and Irish business is increasingly capitalising on the move from ‘brick to click’.  Exploiting the business potential of online is now crucial to success as it enables indigenous companies to reach international customers.

This briefing will provide an overview of e-commerce and the key considerations when trying to develop your business online both locally and internationally.  Louise Phelan from PayPal will discuss the current trends and opportunities for ecommerce growth and crucially how do you manage your online customers.  Philip Nolan from Mason Hayes & Curran will highlight some of the key legal considerations when selling online across different jurisdictions.

Speakers:

Louise is responsible for managing customer services, supporting 1800 people and delivering a first-class customer services operation in nine different languages.  eBay now accounts for 48% of PayPal’s business with the remaining 52% coming off ebay merchants. Louise is a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, CCMA, WXN Women’s Network and is on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce.
