ICLF Conference on the Companies Bill
Partner Paul Egan and Senior Associate David Mangan spoke at a recent conference held in Dublin Castle on the recently published Companies Bill and its implications for private companies. The conference, which is the first organised by the newly-established Irish Corporate Law Forum, gathered 12 experts to present their views on the Bill. The first group of parts of the new Bill was published by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation on 30 May 2011. With a couple of exceptions, the entire body of the existing Companies Acts will be repealed and consolidated in the new Bill. The Bill will amend a number of core provisions of company law, with important implications for existing companies.
