MH & C Host Derry-Londonderry City of Culture 2013 bid

Mason Hayes & Curran was delighted to welcome the U.S. Economic Envoy, Declan Kelly to our offices in support for Derry-Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013 Bid.

Declan Moylan, Chairman, Mason Hayes & Curran provided the welcome address for the event which was hosted in MH & C's offices on Tuesday 18 May. Business to Arts CEO, Stuart McLaughlin chaired the event.

The event saw a number of prominent members of Ireland's business and arts communities come together for the common goal of demonstrating their support for the bid of Derry-Londonderry for UK City of Culture. Derry is currently one of four finalists competing for the title.

Following the support expressed by Taoiseach Brian Cowen for the Bid, Declan Kelly called on the business and arts communities to become champions and advocates for Derry-Londonderry in its Bid to be named UK City of Culture 2013, which he expressed would have a positive impact on the island of Ireland overall.
