Financial Services Golf Outing
On Monday 12 May 2008, the Financial Services Department hosted their fourth annual golf outing at The Royal Dublin Golf Club.
This event, the largest one to date, consisted of 13 teams with each captained by an MH & C representative and three guests.
Conditions could be described as near perfect with the sun shining all day combined with warm temperatures and a light breeze. The course was in magnificent condition and as always there was a great welcome from Paul Muldowney, Angela, Anto and their teams for all.
When play was complete, teams were joined by other members of the Financial Services Department for dinner with a full capacity sitting. Kevin Hoy, Head of the Department, made a brief speech commenting on the success of the day and how the event proved a great forum to share a very successful year for the Department with its clients. Following speeches, Kevin was joined by Fionán Breathnach, Head of Investment Funds, for the distribution of prizes.
Congratulations to the winning team captained by the indefatigable Eithne Redmond with fellow team members Stephen McKenna, Colin O’Regan and Brian McGuinness.
Runner up team, captained by Maurice “Boomer” Phelan (who also won longest drive on the 14th hole) included Paul Walsh, Pat Hanley and John Rohan.
Closest to the pin was taken by Ronnie Feeney, with a nifty 29 inches on the 9th hole.
