Art Auction at Mason Hayes & Curran
Mason Hayes & Curran has long been recognised as a supporter of the Irish arts, through its office art collection.
On 7 April, 2006, the firm held an art auction to dispose of some of the firm's collection. The auction was designed to recycle a selection of the firm's older pieces to allow funds to be released for the purchase of new paintings for the impending move to South Bank House and to also be supportive of the firm's favourite charities. All Mason Hayes & Curran's staff members were invited to bid.
The evening was a great success with items hotly contested amongst the staff and partners. Many items broke their reserve and the final tally for the evening was substantial. 25% of the auction takings were presented to the Harry Callaghan Crumlin Children's Hospital Fund.
