On 23rd February Mason Hayes & Curran hosted their second annual Renewable Energy seminar.
Held in the Merrion Hotel, Dublin, the seminar examined a range of business issues relating to renewable energy.
Commenting on the seminar, Kevin Hoy, head of the financial services department at Mason Hayes & Curran, said, “Renewable Energy is becoming more of an option for business today. Rising energy costs, Kyoto compliance and increased awareness of environmental factors have seen the business case for renewable energy become more cogent, with CHP plants, use of wind and hydro power and the emerging biofuels industry all relevant. Today’s event gave interested parties an opportunity to hear practitioners in this field discuss how the CER is dealing with grid access and to discuss the legal and insurance ramifications of the changing market for turbines supply.”
