David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2012

02 February 2012

Mason Hayes & Curran is delighted to continue their involvement with the David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards in 2012.

The Awards, now in their ninth year,  were established by a group of David Manley’s friends in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to honour his mentoring of entrepreneurs during his lifetime.

Louis Lovett and Muireann Ahern of Theatre Lovett were announced as the overall winners at the ceremony which took place in the offices of Mason Hayes & Curran on 2 February 2012. Louis and Muireann are joint artistic directors of Theatre Lovett, which produces theatre for both children and adults with an emphasis on "theatre as adventure".

The runners up were Lisa Domican with the Grace App, an app she created with her daughter Grace to help people with conditions such as autism, acquired brain injury and stroke communicate their needs independently and George Howlett and Phillip Gillen of Safefood 360, which enables food processing plants to record and manage all aspects of their food safety system in order to meet legal and commercial compliance requirements.

Theatre Lovett will receive in excess of €100,000 in consultancy and cash. Each runner-up will also receive a €1,000 cash prize.

Gerard Tannam of Islandbridge Brand Development gave the welcome address and the award was presented by Norah Casey, Owner, Harmonia Publishing and Dr. Chris Horn, the chair of the judging panel.
