Leading Irish law firm Mason Hayes & Curran has continued the strategic growth of its EU, Competition and Antitrust practice through the appointment of Niall Collins as a senior associate.

Niall joins from international law firm Latham & Watkins, where he was a member of the Global Antitrust and Competition practice, having previously worked in the highly regarded EU & Competition practice at Ashurst LLP in London.
Niall has extensive competition and antitrust law experience in the transport and infrastructure, aviation, technology, insurance, mining and sports sectors. He has advised National Express Group in connection with its acquisition of a number of passenger rail franchises and RHM in relation to its acquisition by Premier Foods. He also advised in connection with the UK Office of Fair Trading’s investigation into alleged bid rigging and cover pricing in the construction industry.
More generally, Niall has advised multinational corporations in international cartel investigations, intellectual property and antitrust interface matters, EU sectoral inquiries and UK market investigations and in relation to merger control and regulatory issues before the EU and domestic competition authorities.
Niall will also be heading up the new Sports Group at Mason Hayes & Curran.
