Leading business law firm Mason Hayes & Curran has partnered with the MBA Association of Ireland (MBAAI) to offer a new range of services to emerging entrepreneurs.
Under the new relationship, MBAAI members embarking upon the entrepreneurial trail will be entitled to a free consultation with Mason Hayes & Curran, to provide guidance on key issues relevant to establishing a business including incorporating a company, equity and debt funding, shareholders agreements, intellectual property protection and corporate governance.
Commenting, Declan Moylan, Managing Partner – Mason Hayes & Curran, said, “The first steps to setting up a new business can often be daunting for emerging entrepreneurs, in particular the significant cost outlays. The purpose of this partnership is to ensure that good entrepreneurial ideas are not prevented from being developed further by concerns over initial legal fees”.
Also commenting, Denis McCarthy, Chief Executive of the MBAAI said, “Entrepreneurship has always been a central focus of the MBA Association’s activities and this is reflected in our year-round programme of approx 40 events across the island, where business leaders share their successes and challenges with members and their management colleagues. Through this partnership with Mason Hayes & Curran we are in a position to offer a very valuable additional service to our entrepreneurial members in particular. We very much look forward to working with Mason Hayes & Curran in the future.”
To mark the launch of the new initiative, Mason Hayes & Curran will join forces with Bank of Ireland, one of MBAAI’s strategic alliance partners, to deliver a regional road-show on the subject ‘The Legal and Financial Practicalities of Establishing, Investing In, or Buying your own Business’. Martin Kelleher (MBA 2002), a member of Mason Hayes & Curran's Corporate Department, will lead the roadshows and serve as the main contact person for Mason Hayes & Curran.
Mason Hayes & Curran maintains a strategic alliance known as i-Law with Belfast law firm, Carson McDowell www.carson-mcdowell.com in conjunction with whom the Northern Ireland presentation will be delivered.
