MH+C acts in Ireland's largest public company deals in 2009/2010 (20th July 2010)
- It was announced on 19 July 2010, that LaCrosse plans to buy Bank of America Merrill Lynch's global alternative fund administration business for an undisclosed amount. Mason Hayes+Curran was the Irish Legal advisor to LaCrosse.
- On 14 July, 2010, Mylan Inc., which ranks among the leading generic and specialty pharmaceutical companies in the world, announced plans to acquire Bioniche Pharma Holdings Limited, an Irish based privately held, global injectable pharmaceutical company, for $550 million in cash. Mason Hayes+Curran in conjunction with Cravath Swaine+Moore LLP, New York represented Mylan Inc. in this transaction. The transaction is expected to close within 60 days, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
- Mason Hayes+Curran are representing Vedanta Resources PLCin connection with its acquisition of zinc mining interests in Ireland as part of its agreement with Anglo American PLC to purchase African and Irish zinc mining interests for $1.34 billion.
- Mason Hayes+Curran acted as sole Irish legal adviser (advising with Ropes & Gray LLP) for Berkshire Partners, LLC, Advent International Corporation and Bain Capital Partners, LLC in their recommended $1.2 billion offer by way of scheme of arrangement for Skillsoft plc.
- Mason Hayes+Curran acted as sole Irish legal adviser for Dragon Oil plc in the recommended Stg£1.2 billion offer by way of scheme of arrangement by Emirates National Oil Company.
