Traineeship

2010 Summer Intern Programme

Following previous successful Summer Intern Programmes, MH+C invites applications for its 2010 Summer Intern Programme, which will be its sole means of sourcing potential trainees.  Training contracts may be offered to certain of the Summer Interns.   Among other things, candidates must have a minimum 2.1 average in their grades to date.   This Programme provides an excellent work experience platform for law students interested in obtaining a training contract in a large law firm.

In that regard we we are accepting applications from prospective Interns.   Applications should be in the form of a short, concise C.V., together with a covering letter.  It should be sent by post to Mary Nolan or e-mailed to Mary at trainee@mhc.ie.  The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 27th November 2009.

In the first instance each C.V. will be acknowledged.  Thereafter, all applications will be reviewed by a number of partners in the firm, during the month of December.   Approximately 70 applicants will be invited to attend our offices for an interview, which will take place during the second week in January 2010.  Successful candidates will work with us for a specified period between June and September 2010.

Each year we receive in excess of 500 applications.  In those circumstances it is not possible to interview everyone.  Applicants should therefore be aware that the C.V. will be reviewed and will form the basis of the first stage of selection.  Thereafter interviews will take place with selected candidates.
